Your 2015 Australia Silver Coin Set comprise the 2015 Pure Silver Kangaroo Coin surrounded by nine silver alphabet coins which spell out 'Australia'. Issued by the Royal Australian Mint, each fine silver alphabet coin features an Australian animal corresponding with the letter featured on your coin. The reverse of your 2015 Kangaroo Coin has been based on a hand coloured engraved by Woodthorpe that featured in George Barrington's 'A Voyage to Botany Bay'. The kangaroo coin is one of the most successful series in Australian numismatic history, based on the works of artists, the coins in this Explorers' First Sightings series show how the kangaroo captured the imaginations of early explorers. Your coins have been struck to a frosted uncirculated finish in 999/1000 Silver.
