Said to have originated from plants and animal sources from millions of years ago. This sample is a golden tan, viscous liquid and considered sweet (low sulfur content).  It was derived from horizontal drilling and fracturing in a shale bedrock. Strata is Niobrara shale formation the the Denver/Julesburg basin/ Weld county/Colorado.
